Today marks the 10th anniversary of the September 11th attack. Chibi might not know any of the lives that perished on this day, but she will never forget about what happens. Chibi always pray for World Peace, especially on days like this one, where many innocent lives was lost in an instant.

Many people have told Chibi that her wish is unrealistic. They say bad people should be punished for bad things they committed. But what good will it bring by continuing to punish each other? And who is to say what is the absolute "GOOD" or "EVIL"?

Some people say GOD(S) taught them what is right from wrong, and they know how to distinguish good people from bad people because of it. Well, how many people can actually TALK to God(s)? Even if they claim they do, will you actually believe them? Then, who give us power to punish others, when we could be the one doing bad things as well?

It is all a matter of personal point of view and interpretation. To this silly girl here, a Higher Power is definitely there & she also believe this Higher Power is full of love for everybody on this planet. And because of love, nobody will be punished for not believing, nor for believing in one and not the other. As fellow Earthlings, we should all respect each other.

Hudson River 灯籠流し

Tonight, Chibi attended a special event organized by The Interfaith Center of New York - Memorial Floating Lantern Ceremony [灯籠流し] by the Hudson River, in memory of the victims of 9/11 and also the 3/11 earthquake and tsunami victims in Japan. Chibi's so glad to see so many people from different cultures & religion backgrounds all gathered in harmony to pray for all the innocent lost souls.

Ribbon of Hope

While Chibi was there, she received a small packet with an information card, a ribbon & a Sharpie marker in it. It is for the Ribbon of Hope project, where all these ribbons that are fulled with hopes and prayers are collected from around the city [around the country & around the world] and tied on a tapestry for display. After tomorrow [Sept 12th] it will be on a moving display on the back of a truck, spreading all the wishes to the different corners of the city. It was really hard to write on a ribbon, but still coming from the bottom of Chibi's heart, she wrote:
Pray for Love & Peace on Earth
愿地球充滿著愛與和平
地球が愛と平和に包まれるのを祈ります
It might be a wish that will take a long time to achieve, but after seeing so many people showed up at this interfaith event tonight, Chibi is sure one day peace & love will rule the world!
